Living Space


Enter the home easily from the flat driveway directly in front of the house, into a large open-plan living space featuring a wall of windows perfect for nature watching. Sip wine, relax, and enjoy the daily breathtaking nature show. The spacious open-plan living area boasts a beautiful vaulted, wood-beamed ceiling, a cozy wood-burning stacked stone fireplace, and large comfortable sofa seating perfect for watching the fire or game night. Outdoor decks provide space for relaxation, and a gas grill offers views that will wow any BBQ chef. At the back, a gorgeous sitting porch offers relaxed seating any time of day.

 


Kitchen and Dining


The well-appointed open-plan kitchen allows chefs to create meal magic without missing any of the fun. The charming kitchen is well-stocked for cooking and has counter seating for three. Guests can also find a coffee and tea bar with Keurig and drip coffee makers and an electric kettle. The indoor dining room seats six and is adjacent to the kitchen. Outside on the deck, a second dining area offers fantastic views and beautifully appointed seating.

 


Beds and Bathrooms


The primary bedroom is on the main floor (queen bed) and has an attached bathroom. Upstairs, nestled in the trees, is a cozy loft space with two twin beds and space for relaxing. On the terrace level are two additional bedrooms (king bed and queen bed) which share a beautifully updated Jack and Jill bathroom. There is an additional half bath in the entry area.

Guests staying at this property have access to the world-class amenities within the Big Canoe community, including golf, tennis, wellness center, swimming pools, hiking trails, and a scenic lake with boat rentals.
Please note: Access to Big Canoe amenities requires advance coordination and separate payment. Guests must contact the Big Canoe amenities office directly to schedule usage and confirm availability. The place was beautifully decorated with gorgeous mountain views. Well stocked with premium items, dishes, etc. The only drawback for not getting 5 stars was problem with the AC not cooling during our stay. Someone was sent to check it out, but no follow up or response afterwards. Unfortunately, it was warmer temps than normal and the main floor had no screens to keep windows or doors open at night, so we were a bit uncomfortable. However, the loft and basement had a screen door. If AC had worked properly, our stay would have been perfect.

They were great guests who followed all the house rules and guidelines. We would absolutely love to host them again and can’t recommend them enough to any future hosts!

Spectacular views and comfortable home
We enjoyed our stay over the 4th of July weekend. We loved sitting on the deck and enjoying the Mountain Views, and it was nice to have the screened porch area as well. We also took full advantage of Big Canoe amenities and went to the annual fireworks show. Great house and weekend!

Beautiful home with amazing view!
Appalachian Sky is a beautiful home that is the perfect mix between modern and rustic! It is well appointed with many varied living spaces both indoors and out. The kitchen has everything necessary to make for a comfortable stay. The loft is great for those with young kids and the gaming system is a nice touch. The view is beautiful and the home is on the ridgeline without it being extremely difficult to reach for those who may be a bit squeamish about the winding, climbing roads. The home is a perfect getaway location to enjoy any mountain fun!

Overall this place was amazing to stay at we spent a lot of time on the back porch just admiring the view! It was neat to have all the trials that were close by and the beach club was awesome for the kids! What an amazing trip it was!
