The Wildcat Recreation Area in Big Canoe, Georgia, offers a network of paved trails and dedicated dog parks, providing a delightful experience for both residents and their canine companions. The trails, totaling over 4 miles, are ideal for walking, cycling, and running, accommodating various fitness levels. The Red Loop spans 1.8 miles, while the Blue Loop covers 1.3 miles, each offering scenic views of the surrounding woodlands and meadows.
Within the Wildcat area, there are two dog parks located near the Pavilion parking area on Wilderness Parkway. These parks provide off-leash spaces where dogs can socialize and play freely. To access the dog parks, follow the Red Loop Trail a short distance past the pavilion and the message board.
