Light Up Blue Ridge Holiday Festival

Light Up Blue Ridge is an annual holiday festival held in downtown Blue Ridge, Georgia, traditionally on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. In 2025, the event is scheduled for November 28-29. The festivities begin with "Blue Friday," featuring downtown merchants offering special discounts, food vendors, and live entertainment from noon to 5 PM. Visitors can also explore the Gingerbread Village at The Arts Center, showcasing creative gingerbread houses crafted by local participants.

 On Saturday, the celebration continues with entertainment on the main stage from 11 AM to 5 PM. Children can meet Santa Claus in the gazebo from noon until 4:15 PM. The highlight of the event is the Christmas parade, starting at 5:30 PM, which winds through East Main Street, Mountain Street, and West Main Street, culminating at the Depot. The evening concludes with the lighting of the Great Tree at approximately 7 PM, illuminating the town with holiday cheer.
