Located just outside of Blue Ridge, the Green Mountain Trail via Whissenhunt Loop to Toccoa River is a scenic, moderately challenging hike that rewards with sweeping mountain views and peaceful river access. This 6.5-mile loop trail features a variety of terrain, including shaded forest paths, ridge climbs, and tranquil stream crossings. The highlight is reaching the banks of the Toccoa River—an ideal spot to relax and refuel before looping back. Well-marked and less crowded than some nearby routes, it’s a great option for hikers looking for a quiet, nature-filled escape in North Georgia.
