The Funk Heritage Center, Georgia’s Official Frontier and Southeastern Indian Interpretive Center, is located on the campus of Reinhardt University in Waleska. Visitors can explore the Bennett History Museum, the Sellars Collection of Historic Hand Tools, the Appalachian Settlement outdoor exhibit, and the Gallery of Contemporary American Indian Art. Recognized as a National Parks Service Trail of Tears Interpretive Site, this museum offers a deep dive into 12,000 years of history through hands-on learning, guided tours, and educational programming for all ages.
