The 2025 Blue Ridge Writers' Conference is scheduled for February 21-22 in the charming town of Blue Ridge, Georgia. This annual event aims to educate, inform, and inspire writers across all genres and experience levels. The conference kicks off on Friday, February 21, with a four-hour Workshop Intensive, offering a deep dive into specific writing topics to strengthen and inspire your literary endeavors. Saturday, February 22, begins with a light breakfast and a keynote address by acclaimed author John Claude Bemis, titled "Write like a Wild Thing: Crafting an Unforgettable Story."
The day continues with a series of concurrent workshops covering fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and marketing strategies. Esteemed panelists include Kitty Taylor, Carol Crawford, Mickey Dubrow, Jessica Handler, Angela DeCaires, and Dana Wildsmith. In conjunction with the conference, Barnstorm Media presents the Blue Ridge Film Fest on February 22. This event features two filmmaking workshops led by actor and screenwriter Casey Nelson, and actor and film set veteran Chase Fralish, aiming to nurture independent voices in film.
