The outdoor fireplace makes being cozy outside easy as well as the large open air hot tub, gas grill, and seating area that is a perfect location for entertaining your family and friends. Relax on the porch and enjoy the views of the ponds painted in with the mountains. If you're feeling a little more adventurous, take a hike down to the pond and hop in if you feel like the weather will allow it. Beautiful & Peaceful Environment

Clean comfortable and beautiful. Nice personal contact when we arrived to be sure that everything was OK. Represented accurately in description and photos. The views were beautiful, and it was very peaceful there the extensive wood through the cabin was very pleasing to the eye. Having an indoor and outdoor fireplace was a bonus along with a fire ring. The decorations inside the cabin were very fun, but mostly a very beautiful and peaceful environment.

Absolutely Perfect!!

Great selection of cabins with wonderful amenities. Easy to book and special offers were an added bonus. We will absolutely be using Southern Comfort again! Pates Escape was absolutely perfect - exactly as pictured, amazing amenities, and exceptionally clean. We enjoyed having the covered outdoor fireplace and hot tub as the weather was fairly rainy. A wonderful feature was the private dock and pond which we enjoyed when the rain let up, even caught 4 fish! This cabin was cozy yet spacious, and felt very private and secluded, but still close enough to downtown Blue Ridge.

Scenery is to Die For!

It was a new experience for the both of us and I have to say that we had a marvelous time with picnic's, shopping with scenery to die for. Tiffany, was wonderful, and very polite. I had to extend my stay for a few days and I will have to say that she was right on point.. She'll need a increase in pay.

Pleasant & Relaxing

The registration process was straightforward, especially given the fact we made a reservation the day of our arrival. Everything was smooth and we were billed a reasonable fee for extending our stay an additional night. Our stay was very pleasant and relaxing. There was a small issue with one of the kitchen faucet valves not turning the water off completely but not a big deal. The property has some significant elevation changes which could be more challenging for less abled dogs or humans.

Loved That Our Dog Could Join Us!

The outdoor fireplace was the highlight of our trip. GREAT SPACE! Could use some work. The rug was filthy. The chair was ripped. I didn’t find out what info I missing to complete my arrival info until a day prior to my departure. I tried to find it but couldn’t. Then I had to sweat waiting on instructions and the address until just heading out that way. I’m a “planner” that was hard. I did like you included fire starting logs, firewood, and basic amenities. LOVED THAT OUR DOG COULD JOIN US!

Pates place was the perfect place to relax with the family. We enjoyed breakfast at the picnic table and big catching at the windows. The girls had a ball playing fishing at the dock and playing in the little stream and mud. We enjoyed hanging out in the cabin just as much as we did exploring the surrounding area. The view from the dock was a little slice of heaven. We cant wait to return.
