A Creek Runs Thru It - Cabin on Fightingtown Creek

Good amount of cabins to choose from. Easy to navigate website. Friendly staff. I don't remember their names, sorry, but We were talking to a woman on the way in about checking in early and we were asking about directions (we are from Florida) and we aren't really familiar with how there are "blind drives", and "just over the bridge". Things like that. She was so pleasant and accommodating. She was talking us through the roads and wanted to make sure our code worked for the entry door. She was so so nice!!!! Another very nice woman we had to call out on Sunday because one of the trees fell down out back and she sent out a maintenance guy out, and he was extremely nice. He came out on Sunday and the tree was gone when we went back to the cabin Monday afternoon. Awesome people!!

The people that we dealt with were so very nice and accommodating. Not all people would stay on the phone to make sure you were going the right direction and making the right turns.

The cleanliness of the cabin and the serenity of the property

The peaceful sound of the flowing creek was all we could hear when sitting outside. Nature at its very finest with all of the modern conveniences you could need just steps away!

Cabin was very clean and had excellent location. Perfect father and son getaway. Only one issue and that was the grill. The temp gauge on the grill wasn’t working properly. Before lighting, the gauge was already reading 300 degrees. Only one burner out of four would light with the electronic igniter and we had to use a lighter for the others. Got to get the grill serviced

We've used Southern Comfort a couple times and the customer service is great and check in/out is such a smooth process. I love the detailed directions as well for finding the cabins. The peace and solitude was great! The creek was so relaxing and the cabin had everything we needed

This cabin is so beautiful and is right on a trout stream. It was so clean. It was decorated so beautiful for Christmas! This cabin was way more than we expected!

Even though it was just the two of us and it’s a bigger cabin, it is a beautiful lay out, well decorated and the couch and king bed were so comfortable. There is a small swimming hole in the creek that allows you to dunk to your neck so it is perfect all around!

It was fantastic, very quite, beautiful, loved the location. LOCATION!  The cabin was everything that it said it would be pluse. Service was great that we received from the staff.

A creek runs through it was exactly what we needed. The commute to the property is breathtaking. When you arrive, the sound of the creek below fills the air, it’s such a peaceful setting.  The cabin itself is perfect for families with children. Our toddlers fully enjoyed playing with the toys, running around the property and we even took a walk down the road. Already considering booking our next trip at this property!

Our stay in the creek runs through it was very nice & very relaxing.

It was clean , warm , very cozy , the stream was amazing , enjoyed the game room and just the quiet of the property, very quiet and exceeded our expectations. It was a great experience, could not have been any better. 

This is one of the best cabins we have stayed in. Our favorites were the level ground with access to the creek, the fire pit, hot tube, baby gates, crib, video games, large couch, and all the kitchen supplies we needed. This cabin felt more like home than any other cabin I have stayed in. 

Impressed by the cabin, the helpful and friendly service

It was perfect in every way. We cooked breakfast every morning and grilled burgers and hotdogs in the evening.  Our grandchildren enjoyed playing in the creek and hot tub, and hearing their giggles made me very happy. We loved the privacy away from crowds. The creek was so relaxing as well as the hot tub. Our grandchildren kept saying, “We love this place!” We made lifelong memories and we can’t wait to come back.

The house was fantastic. We enjoyed every minute of it. Looking forward to staying again sometime and hopefully a few days longer. We booked online and did everything through email. Only spoke with a team member once for late check-in advise. Very friendly and helpful.

It was my family’s first vacation together, it was a magical experience for everyone involved! Our favorite feature would have to be the hot tub and the pool table.

This is the fourth property we stayed in and so far this one has been the best. We fell in love with the property. The privacy, the location, the beautiful creek, the hammocks, I mean everything about this property was awesome. After 3 months of being inside our home in the city, due to the covid-19 situation, staying in this beautiful property was the best decision we had ever made. My 2 kids loved it so much they did not want to leave and me neither. The beautiful sound of nature when opening the doors to the balcony every morning was absolutely wonderful. Priceless! Definitely staying there again next year.

We enjoyed ourselves even though it rained 75-85% of the stay. We just wanted to get away from everything and everybody and that's exactly what we did. Everyone we came into contact with whether it was customers in the store or employees were so nice. We were really impressed about that. It's like they knew you personally. It's that hometown feel.

This is the only Cabin we stay at which may have to change with all the new ones going up!
