Blue Ridge Area Farms & Orchards

Blue Ridge Area Farms & Orchards

Head on down to the farm to taste some of North Georgia’s freshest produce! Go directly to the orchard or field to pick the ripest fruits in season. Enjoy a hayride or farm-themed activity, meet friendly animals and farmers, learn how plants are cultivated, or purchase baked goods for a homemade treat. Check out these Blue Ridge area family farms and orchards located near our North Georgia cabin rentals.

Apple Orchard Alley

Spread across a picturesque valley along Georgia State Hwy 52, check out 11 of Gilmer County’s apple orchards. Taste apples and enjoy a variety of activities offered by the apple houses and farms.

Burt’s Farm

Open late August through November each year, Burt’s Farm grows over 20 varieties of pumpkins along with ornamental corn and winter squash. Pick a pumpkin, take a hayride, or enjoy delicious baked goods handmade onsite.

Mercier Orchards

A must-visit! Mercier Orchards, nestled in the North Georgia mountains, is a family-owned and operated apple orchard and working farm founded in 1943 by Bill & Adele Mercier. Pick apples directly from the orchard; purchase fresh cider, jams, jellies, cheeses, and other gourmet treats; stop by the bakery for a famous apple donut; or visit the deli for a pecan chicken salad sandwich. They also offer a spacious shop with an extensive selection of gifts, housewares, and toys. Check out their newest location in downtown Blue Ridge.

Southern Tree Plantation

Located in Blairsville, Southern Tree Plantation is much more than a Christmas tree farm. Visit during October for fun on the farm with pumpkins, hayrides, train rides, pony rides, a challenging wooden maze, and marshmallow roasting around the fire pit.
